Description

Please note: this item resides in Finland but my feedback score if flawless. Shipping to France would cost around 22 euros. Outside EU borders, the rates vary greatly - do contact me for a quote before bidding. Any questions at all, please send a message. I aim to serve. Do have a look at my other goodies, I collect classic men's clothing and always have something interesting to sell. * * * Edwin Clapp was a well respected and popular American shoe factory back in the days. This pair is likely from the 1970s and made by them for the defunct Beau John store. The model is a nice full wing derby made from calfskin and white suede. The insole is leather like the outer sole, and the lining is textile and leather. The shoes are in great condition for their age and the heels have most of their life left. Size tag 11 AA which is 10 and narrow in UK-sizing. My size is 8 UK and these fit fine enough, and I've titled them accordingly. Hand lasted, slim sole, Goodyear welt, round toe, durable nylon heel, white flat laces. Heel grips have been glued to the heel cups to improve fit, and they are easy to remove. Clapp shoes are rare these days. Collectors, grab these.
