Bricker & Mellowe was an English tailor located close to Savile Row from 1940 to 2002. Formed by old cutters of Hawkes of Savile Row (now Gieves & Hawkes)​,​ Bricker & Mellowe was a small operation that made beautiful suits and sporcoats in a typical english cut. The shoulder is soft​,​ with a slight roped sleevehead. The chest is cut close​,​ the sleeve is relatively narrow​,​ but still rounded enough to move easily. It is an excellent blend between Gieves & Hawkes and Anderson & Sheppard respective styles. During the 1990's​,​ they moved in the same building as Meyer & Mortimer​,​ one of the oldest tailor still in activity​,​ at 6 Sackville Street​,​ London. I propose a beautiful Bricker & Mellowe cashmere sportcoat​,​ with a striking pattern. A bold red and thin blue windowpane​,​ similar to certain creations by Huntsman & Sons. It is a classic sportcoat from autumn to spring and can be worn in the same way as a tweed jacket (with corduroy or flannel trousers​,​ even jeans​,​ in a variety of colours). Made in 1995​,​ it belonged to the owner of a big cashmere maker based in Paris. It is fully handmade​​​​,​​​​ from the lining to the buttonholes​​​​,​​​​ from the shoulder to the collar. The conditions is excellent. The sportcoat is best fitted for someone with a strong 40UK ​​​/​​​​50FR size​​​​,​​​​ or a slim 42UK​​​/​​​52FR size​​​,​​​ around 1m75 to 1m80 tall.
