Bespoke Maison Sirven Brown Whipcord Trousers - W35/45 NEW

Description

Maison Sirven was created by Florian Sirven and his wife Aïdée Grau in 2016. Both Florian and Aïdée have an extensive background in bespoke tailoring. Trained at the AFT (Association Formation Tailleur) by bespoke suitmaker André Guilson, they both worked for prestigious bespoke houses Francesco Smalto (Florian) and Lanvin (Aïdée) for more than 10 years. Florian was latter head-cutter for Francesco Smalto along with André Soulier (one of the greatest master tailor alive) after Kenjiro Suzuki opened his shop. They created their own bespoke atelier in 2016. Their style was very similar to the heyday of Franscesco Smalto, notably inspired by the suit made by the master for actor Jean-Paul Belmondo, but with a more contemporary cut. After four years of independent work, they joined the shoemaker Berluti (propriety of LVMH) to manage their bespoke division. Indeed Berluti had absorbed in 2012 the Parisian institution that was Arnys. Right now, there are two bespoke tailors: Rebahi Karim (who was head-cutter for Arnys before the merger) Rue de Sèvres, and Florian Sirven Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré. Maison Sirven style was very similar to Francesco Smalto bespoke operation: sharp lines with a rich cigarette shoulder, a clean parisian lapel, slightly longer than Camps de Luca, tight chest and suppressed waist. The jackets are a bit shorter and the trousers a bit more tapered, but you still have some of the best parisian tailoring can offer. I propose a beautiful Maison Sirven trousers in brown whipcord. It is the perfect garment for autumn and winter, and can be worn with a variety of sportcoat or blazer in warm fabric (flannel, tweed, cashmere). I recommend a navy blue sportcoat in flannel, or a gun club tweed sportcoat. The tag has been ripped at the behest of the previous owner. However, I can provide a certificate to prove the maker. As always with Maison Sirven, everything is done by hand, from the buttonhole to the pockets. There is notably a "point baguette". This is an handmade seam along the line of the trousers, similar to what you could find on a tuxedo trousers, but without the satin band. Percaline has been added at the bottom of the trousers, in order to give it more weight and have a clean cut with no break. A belt in the same fabric is included, a staple of Francesco Smalto style and his alumnis. This piece has a natural waist (neither too high or too low), and is best suited for someone around 1m75. It is brand new (coming right from the atelier). Here are the measurements Waist: 45cm (with 6,5cm of fabric to let out) Length from inseam: 77cm Length total: 103 cm (with 4cm of fabric to let out) Legs width: 19cm (with 6cm of fabric to widen it) Trousers Cuffs: 4cm Quality similar to the following bespoke houses: - In France: Camps de Luca, Cifonelli, Francesco Smalto, Claude Rousseau, Max Evzeline, Arnys, Lanvin Mesure, Henri Urban, Opelka, Kenjiro Suzuki - In Italy: Caraceni (Augusto or Domenico), Rubinacci, Dalcuore, Panico, Ambrosi, Rota - In England: Anderson & Sheppard, Henry Poole, Huntsman & Sons, Nutters of Savile Row, Chittleborough & Morgan, Richard Anderson, Meyer & Mortimer
