Description
Max Evzeline was one of the very best Parisian bespoke tailor from the 1960's to the 1990's. As a member of the Group of 5, along Joseph Camps, André Bardot, Di Nota, Socrate and Gaston Waltener, he redefined Parisian tailoring and style in the 1960's and 1970's. He was the tailor for celebrities and show business. His clients included Charles Aznavour, Gilbert Bécaud, Serge Gainsbourg, Louis Jourdan, Enrico Macias, and Charles Trenet. Other clients were politicians and prominent lawyers. His style was similar to Camps de Luca, with a pronounced cigarette shoulder, parisian fishmouth lapel, a tight chest, and a dedication to details. He was with Henri Urban one of the most expensive tailors around, with a starting price for a 2-piece suit around 50 000 francs (or 15 000 euros today). I propose a beautiful Max Evzeline navy blue sportcoat with an herringbone pattern in cashmere. It is the perfect sportcoat for autumn and winter, and can be paired with almost any trousers (flannel, cavalry twill, whipcord, corduroy, moleskine). As always with Max Evzeline, it is fully handmade, from the lining to the buttonholes, from the shoulder to the collar. It features its classic Parisan fishmouth lapel. The conditions is excellent. The sportcoat is best fitted for someone with a 38UK / 48FR size, around 1m75. Here are the measurements: Shoulders: 44,5cm Sleeve length: 57cm (with 4,5cm of fabric to let out) Chest: 47cm Waist at button: 45,5cm Jacket length: 79,5cm (collar included, with 4cm of fabric to let out) Lapels: 9cm Quality similar to the following bespoke houses: - In France: Camps de Luca, Cifonelli, Francesco Smalto, Claude Rousseau, Arnys, Lanvin Mesure, Henri Urban, Opelka, Kenjiro Suzuki - In Italy: Caraceni (Augusto or Domenico), Rubinacci, Dalcuore, Panico, Ambrosi, Rota - In England: Anderson & Sheppard, Henry Poole, Huntsman & Sons, Nutters of Savile Row, Chittleborough & Morgan, Richard Anderson, Meyer & Mortimer
