RTW Brioni Palatino Super 180's Navy Sportcoat - 36/46R
RTW Brioni Palatino Super 180's Navy Sportcoat - 36/46R

Description

Brioni is, with Kiton and Attolini, the pinnacle of luxury in ready-to-wear and as close to bespoke as you can get off-the-rack. It is the garment of celebrities like Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins and Christian Bale, as well as two James Bond (Pierce Brosnan in all four films, and Daniel Craig in Casino Royale). Brioni was founded in Rome in 1945 by Nazareno Fonticoli and Gaetano Savini, with their first shop Via Barberini. The name comes from the Brionian islands, the destination of choice for the Italian high-society at the beginning of the 20th century. Brioni is renowned for their use of colours, a softer cut than British tailoring, and a slimmer shape. The suit is a second skin, while still imposing respect with the famous Roman shoulder (not as structured as Savile Row, without the extravaganza of the Neapolitan). Brioni was the first company to introduce a menswear fashion show in 1952, in Florence, and the start of the Pitti Uomo. In 1959, they launched the first ready-to-wear Couture line with their factory in Penne, Abruzzo, the birthplace of Fonticoli. They proved you can create a garment in a factory, without losing the quality and precision of bespoke suitmaking. They also created the concept of Trunk show, where they would visit a city for a period of time to showcase their work and take orders from clients who could not go to Rome. During the 1950's and 1960's, the Italian jet set and Hollywood celebrities all went to Brioni, from Clark Gable to John Wayne, as well as Marcello Mastroianni and Cary Grant. Now owned by Kering, Brioni is still made with the highest standards and has celebrated their 75th anniversary in Florence in 2020. I propose a classic Brioni 3 roll 2 navy blue sportcoat in a luxurious super 180's wool. It is the perfect garment from spring to autumn, with a variety of trousers. The cut is slim-fitted, without the excess of other luxury houses. It is fully handmade, from the lining to the buttonholes, from the shoulder to the collar. Such piece would cost you off-the-rack around 5000 euros. It is in excellent condition. The sportcoat is best fitted for someone with a strong 36UK/46FR, or a slim 38UK/48FR size, around 1m75 to 1m85. Here are the measurements Shoulders: 43cm Sleeve length: 62cm (with 4cm of fabric to let out) Chest: 49cm Waist at button: 48cm Jacket length: 78cm (collar included, with 4cm of fabric to let out) Lapels: 9,5cm Quality equivalent to the following houses: Cesare Attolini, Cifonelli (RTW), Ermenegildo Zegna (Su Misura), Isaia (Red Coral Line), Kiton, Liverano & Liverano, Loro Piana, Ralph Lauren (Purple Label), Santandrea (Saint Andrews), Stefano Ricci, Tom Ford, Zilli Possible to try it in Paris 15th Arrondissement.
