Thuillier is another excellent bespoke shirtmaker​,​ renowned for making the shirts of almost all french presidents since Charles De Gaulle in the 1950's. François Mitterrand was an avid customer. Founded in 1930 by Robert Thuillier​,​ former head-cutter for the shirts at Sulka​,​ it became a reference of bespoke shirtmaking in the 1950's. The quality is on the same level as Charvet and Lanvin​,​ while giving it a more contemporary cut. Done by hand in their atelier on Rue Marbeuf​,​ next to Cifonelli and Berluti​,​ they represent the classic french style from the collar to the cuffs. The shirt I'm proposing is an original creation by Thuillier. Beautiful blue and yellow stripes and a nice cutaway collar​,​ it works well with a brown or light grey suit or with a hopsack wool blazer to give a more casual look. The tag is damaged but it is clearly a bespoke Thuillier shirt​,​ made in 1994. The size is approximately a 15​/​38.
