Description
Thuillier is another excellent bespoke shirtmaker, renowned for making the shirts of almost all french presidents since Charles De Gaulle in the 1950's. François Mitterrand was an avid customer. Founded in 1930 by Robert Thuillier, former head-cutter for the shirts at Sulka, it became a reference of bespoke shirtmaking in the 1950's. The quality is on the same level as Charvet and Lanvin, while giving it a more contemporary cut. Done by hand in their atelier on Rue Marbeuf, next to Cifonelli and Berluti, they represent the classic french style from the collar to the cuffs. The shirt I'm proposing is an original creation by Thuillier. Beautiful blue and yellow stripes and a nice cutaway collar, it works well with a brown or light grey suit or with a hopsack wool blazer to give a more casual look. The tag is damaged but it is clearly a bespoke Thuillier shirt, made in 1994. The size is approximately a 15/38. Here are the measurements: Collar: 38,2cm Length of collar points: 6,5cm Shoulders: 41,5cm Sleeve length: 58cm Chest: 47cm Shirt length: 70cm For additional pictures or more informations, you can contact me by private message. Possible to try it in Paris 16th Arrondissement.
