John Williams & Sons 1930s​/​40s black wool jacket​,​ chest 38 inch Beautiful black wool jacket from the 1930s​/​1940s. Chest 38 inches. John Williams & Sons ​,​ High Class Tailors and Clothiers​,​ opened on Market St Llanelli in April 1930​,​ John Williams himself (b.1870) died in 1935 and the business continued by the Sons until its closure in 1962. This jacket is a piece of Welsh tailoring history. It is also in excellent vintage condition. Lapels with single button hole​,​ three buttons to the front​,​ three button cuffs. Front pockets with flaps. Breast pocket​,​ unvented back. Two inside pockets​,​ satin lining and striped lining to the sleeves. Back length 30 in (76.2 cm)​,​ sleeve length 25 in (63.5 cm)​,​ shoulder width 18 in (45.7 cm)​,​ pit to pit 20 in (50.8 cm).
