The material is 100 % smooth and fine silk twill. Hand made in Italy. This model is made from a single piece of silk​,​ folded 7 times over. This old construction method takes more time and silk​,​ and explains the price at store. Width 9 cm. I find no wear or tear on this - only wrinkles. Similar Borrelli ties cost around 220 euros new.
